KSDK reported tragic news late yesterday regarding a 4 year old boy found dead in a retention pond in Wood River, Illinois. Apparently, the little boy was swimming with three other kids, older than he, in a retention pond not intended for swimming. Woman’s Legs Crushed in Dupo, Illinois

A Dupo, Illinois woman was at Barnes Pipe and Steel having large steel pipes loaded into her truck when suddenty, the weight shifted in the truck and a 30 foot long steel pipe fell on the lady’s legs. The pipe, estimated to weigh at least half a ton, crushed at least one of her legs – maybe both. Holiday Weekend Accident Injures Five

On July 5, 2010, three vehicles were involved in a serious Missouri automobile accident in St. Genevieve County. Two of the vehicles were traveling west on Route F at the same time as a third vehicle was headed east. The accident occured Sunday afternoon. Michael Kerrigan, driving a Cavalier, crossed the center line as he was headed west on Route F causing him to strike a pickup truck almost head on.
