According to KSDK, Southbound I-55 in Macoupin County Illinois was shut down for several hours following an accident on the roadway. 7 Month Old Infant Dies in Car Accident

KMOV has reported that the car that plunged into River Des Peres last week contained a 7 month-old infant boy. His father, 24 years old, drove the car into the river – the circumstances of the crash are still unknown. The driver is still in critical condition. The infant boy was found strapped in his carseat in the water but efforts to revive the boy were unsuccessful.
