Several Fatal Missouri Car Crashes Before Holiday Weekend

1076689_autumn_is_coming.jpgThere have been several fatal car accidents in Missouri in recent weeks. These Missouri car accident cases have mostly been as result of driver inattention. As we enter the most highly traveled day of the year, it is important to remember to drive safely. Many people find themselves traveling on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We all want to get “home” to see our families and celebrate the long weekend which can lead to speeding. This problem is compounded by inclement weather. People also travel long distances via vehicles on the interstate, driving long hours, and therefore growing fatigued. It is not surprising that we see many car crashes on this day. Police forces are usually increased throughout the weekend to be able to accommodate all of the accidents.
It’s certainly easier said than done, but we should all try to remember that it is more important to arrive at our destination safely than quickly. As a St. Louis car accident attorney, I have represented families of those injured in holiday accidents. It is obviously very difficult to lose a loved one anytime but during the holiday season, it can be especially trying. Please have a very happy and SAFE holiday weekend.
